I am the sixth out of seven children in my family. My Husband and I got married ten years ago, and have three beautiful daughters. Born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah you would think that I am quite sheltered from the world. Luckily over the years I have lived in many beautiful places including Zion National Park in Utah, Denali National Park in Alaska, North Carolina and Boston Massachusetts. I spent four winters being a “Ski Bum” in the spectacular Alta Ski Area in Utah.
My inspiration has come from many years of exploring the natural wonders of the world. I spent the bulk of my childhood camping with my parents in beautiful southern Utah looking for indian ruins and hunting for pictographs. I have also been hiking in the hill tribe villages of Northern Thailand, spelunking in caves filled with glow worms in New Zealand, summiting the tallest peak in the continental US, paragliding in the Swiss Alps, sunning on the black sand beaches in Greece, skydiving over the expansive Florida Everglades, kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland, wandering through the mystic rocks of Stonehenge in England and baffling over the astounding creations inside The Louvre in France. Painting is my passion it brings out something inside of me that nothing else can; it makes me feel happy, proud and content. I do my best to create landscape works of art that look so real you can’t tell if it’s a painting or a photograph. I also love to paint thick chunky Asian themed and nature inspired paintings. I strive to be an original and creative artist while I incorporate my fascination for the outdoors and nature into my art.
Life has a tendency to get a little crazy and it’s hard to find the time to lose myself in my art, but when I do it brings me peace and a since of accomplishment.
I am blessed to be able to be a full time artist and a full time mom. My wonderful husband is very supportive and gives me the encouragement I need. My young daughters paint with me for hours on end and it makes me so happy to them her following in my footsteps. I am truly a proud parent and happy artist.
